Garlic Parmesan Green Beans

Hi all!
Tonight I will share a super easy recipe I got off pinterest for Garlic Parmesan Green Beans. It is fast, delicious and very simple. Matt and I really liked this recipe because it was very flavorful and probably only took me 8 minutes to make (not including boiling the water).  The recipe calls for fresh green beans but we only had frozen on hand so I decided to give it a whorl and it worked great! This cut time out of the cooking since I didn't have to wash and trim the beans. So if you're cool with using frozen it will cut about 5 minutes off of prep!
Here is the link to the original recipe:

Garlic Parmesan Green Beans

Ingredients:
1 lb. fresh or frozen green beans, stems removed
2 tbs. unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced (or garlic cubes!)
1/2 tsp.  salt
1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
1 tbs. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Steam green beans until slightly tender, about 5-7 minutes.
See? Frozen and ready to go
Here is my steamer, its pretty fancy, but you don't need something this fancy. You can use the basket steamers or even just grease splatter shield (the circle thingy that looks like window screen you put over your pan when you're cooking bacon) over a pan with boiling water. Mmmm Bacon!
Nice rich green after they have been steamed
Melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet. Add garlic and cook 1-2 minutes.
The larger pieces are butter the smaller ones are the garlic cubes

This smelled SOOOO GOOOD!
Transfer steamed green beans to the melted butter and garlic.

Toss to coat green beans evenly and continue to saute for approximately 5 minutes over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Remove from heat and sprinkle grated Parmesan.

YUM! Loved this simple recipe and I think you will too! It was so quick and easy I'm sure this is going to become a staple in our house!
Happy eating!
